· by Jack Thomas

A designer from Eston, working right across Teesside

I’m Jack. I grew up in Eston and I design and build websites for small businesses all over Teesside: Stockton-on-Tees, Redcar, Guisborough, Billingham, Thornaby, Yarm, Saltburn and Hartlepool. Trades, cafés, salons, barbers, groomers, gyms, charities and anyone else who needs customers to find them. Based in Middlesbrough itself? See web design in Middlesbrough. In Redcar, Marske or Saltburn? See web design in Redcar.

You deal with me from the first message to launch day and after it, with a fixed price agreed before I start. My first sites in the area were for the Peppermill Cafe on Whale Hill and the Lee Black Foundation in Peterlee, and you can click around both below.

Every Teesside town is its own search

Google treats “café Stockton”, “café Yarm” and “café Redcar” as three different searches, and shows different businesses for each, based on where the person searching is standing. A salon in Thornaby isn’t competing with every salon on Teesside, just with the ones Google thinks are close and relevant to that customer.

So every site I build says plainly which town you’re in and which towns you cover: in the page titles, the headings and the list of areas you cover. Trades who travel get their areas listed properly, so a customer in Billingham or Guisborough can see straight away that you come to them.

Website design built to be found, not just to look good

A nice website nobody finds doesn’t bring in work. When someone searches “plumber Stockton” or “café Guisborough”, three things decide who they find: the normal Google results, the Google Maps top 3, and more and more an AI answer from ChatGPT or Google’s AI Overview. Every site I build is set up for all three:

Already have a website and just need to be found? That’s SEO for Teesside businesses, starting with the £149 Search Fix, which also sorts your Google Business Profile and directory listings, and can be added to any new website. Comparing quotes? See what a website costs in the UK.

How much does a website cost on Teesside?

With me, a Starter website is £295 for up to 3 pages, live in 7 days, and a Business website is £595 for up to 6 pages with bookings. Bigger sites, shops and rebuilds are quoted from £1,500. If you already have a site and just need to be found, the Search Fix is £149. All prices are fixed and agreed before I start.

Which Teesside towns do you work with?

All of them, including Stockton-on-Tees, Redcar, Guisborough, Billingham, Thornaby, Yarm, Saltburn and Hartlepool, and anywhere else in the UK (Middlesbrough has its own page). Everything happens online, by email, WhatsApp and a preview link, so where you are doesn’t slow anything down.

I cover several towns. Do I need a page for each one?

Not usually. One clear page that names the towns you really cover, plus a Google Business Profile with those service areas, does the job for most small businesses. Copying the same page for every town can hurt you on Google, so I only add a town page when there’s something genuinely local to say.

Can you get my business onto the first page of Google?

Nobody can honestly promise a position. What I do is fix what’s holding you back, like your Google profile, listings and website, then show you every month where you stand. Google Maps positions usually move first; normal search results often take a few months.

How long does it take to build a website?

A Starter website is live in 7 days and a Business website in 10 working days. All I need from you is your logo, some photos and a few bullet points about what you do, through a simple questionnaire that takes about 20 minutes.

Come in.

Send me your business name and town, and within one working day I’ll show you where you come up on Google, Google Maps and ChatGPT, plus the 3 fixes that would move you up. Free, with no obligation.
