A web designer for Stockton-on-Tees
I’m Jack. I grew up in Eston, a short drive from Stockton, and I design and build websites for businesses across the borough of Stockton-on-Tees: the town centre and the High Street, Norton, Thornaby, Yarm, Eaglescliffe, Ingleby Barwick and Billingham.
You deal with me from the first message to launch day and after it. The price is fixed and agreed before I start, and you watch your site come together on a private preview link you can open on your own phone.
What I found when I searched Stockton
Between 20 and 28 October 2026 I searched Google the way a local customer would, set to Stockton-on-Tees (and to Thornaby for the Thornaby search), and checked well-reviewed local businesses. Three things stood out:
- Great reviews aren’t enough on their own. A family photographer with 5.0 stars from 161 reviews came 9th for “family photographer Stockton-on-Tees”. Their only website was an Instagram page.
- The same across other trades. A skin clinic with 5.0 from 34 reviews was 8th, a wedding florist with 5.0 from 47 was 8th and a driving instructor with 4.9 from 50 was 10th, and none of them had a website of their own linked on Google. A physio with 5.0 from 10 reviews was 5th, with a booking page where the website should be.
- Thornaby is its own search. A Thornaby bathroom fitter with 4.9 stars from 53 reviews was 20th for “bathroom fitter Thornaby”. Customers search the place they live, so a business that only says “Stockton” can miss them.
These were businesses I looked at as possible clients, mostly ones without a website, so it’s a pattern rather than a survey of every Stockton business. But it’s the gap a proper website fills: Google can only rank what it can read about you, and a Facebook or Instagram page gives it very little.
Why a Stockton website needs to name every place you cover
Someone in Ingleby Barwick searching “plumber near me” and someone in Billingham searching “plumber Stockton” see different results. Google shows businesses it understands are close and relevant, and it can only understand what you tell it. So every site I build says plainly that you’re in Stockton-on-Tees and which places you cover, in the page titles and the headings.
If you travel, your areas get listed properly, so a customer in Yarm, Thornaby or Norton can see straight away that you come to them. And the same facts in plain text help ChatGPT and Google’s AI answers name you when someone asks for the best one in Stockton.
What’s included in every Stockton website
- Pages written around what your customers search, with Stockton-on-Tees and the places you cover in the titles and headings.
- Built for phones first and fast, with your number, WhatsApp and opening hours one tap away.
- LocalBusiness and FAQ schema, so Google and AI tools read your details correctly.
- Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools connected, with your sitemap sent to both.
- A private preview link while I build, 2 rounds of changes, and the site and domain in your name.

With me, a Starter website is £295 for up to 3 pages, live in 7 days, and a Business website is £595 for up to 6 pages with bookings or enquiries. Bigger sites and shops are quoted from £1,500. If you already have a site and just need to be found, the Search Fix is £149. Every price is fixed before I start.
Do you cover Thornaby, Yarm and Ingleby Barwick as well?
Yes, the whole borough: Stockton town centre, Norton, Thornaby, Yarm, Eaglescliffe, Ingleby Barwick and Billingham. Each site names the places you actually cover, so customers searching from those places can see you come to them, and your Google profile lists them as service areas.
I have great reviews. Why am I not higher on Google Maps in Stockton?
Reviews matter, but Google also weighs how clearly it understands what you do and where. When I searched Stockton in October 2026, a photographer with 5.0 stars from 161 reviews was 9th, with only an Instagram page as a website. A complete profile and a website that names Stockton give Google the rest of the picture.
Can we meet in person in Stockton?
I grew up in Eston and work fully online: email, WhatsApp on my UK number and video calls whenever you want one. You see your site on a private preview link as it’s built, and you can check it on your own phone before anything goes live.
Can you get my Stockton business to the top of Google?
Nobody can honestly promise a position. What I do is fix what’s holding you back, like your Google profile, listings and website, then show you every month where you stand when someone searches from Stockton. Map positions usually move first; normal results often take a few months.
Come in.
Send me your business name and town, and within one working day I’ll show you where you come up on Google, Google Maps and ChatGPT, plus the 3 fixes that would move you up. Free, with no obligation.
